29 CFR 1926.502(e)(1): Positioning devices shall be rigged such that an employee cannot free fall more than 2 feet (.9 m). a) Worksite: On or about March 24, 2022, employees were using positioning devices set for a free fall of approximately twenty (20) feet while setting roof trusses on a new residential home, exposing employees to serious injuries from a fall of more than fourteen (14) feet.
