29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii):The point of operation of machines whose operation exposed an employee to injury, was not guarded: On or about March 22, 2022 the employer did not ensure that effective machine guarding was in place on the Niagra 162 metal shear to protect employees from the blade area during operation. Employees were exposed to the point of operation of the cutting blade. Employees operate the equipment by use of foot pedal without effective guarding in place to prevent their hands from reaching the point of operation.
