29 CFR 1926.200(g)(2): Traffic control signs or devices used for protection of construction workers did not conform to Part VI of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (AMUTCD"), 1988 Edition, Revision 3, September 3, 1993, FHWA-SA-94-027 or Part VI of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, Millennium Edition, December 2000, FHWA. a) 620 A Street, Wilmington, DE 19801(East Bound Lane): On or about March 29, 2022, the employer failed to provide a taper and signs visible to the public while traveling East and West on A Street to assist traffic in understanding traffic pattern changes due to sewer maintenance work. Employees were walking back and forth in an unbarricaded work zone with no legible signage to warn motorist of activities ahead as stated in the MUTCD Section 6C.08. This exposed employees to multiple hazards onsite including but not limited to struck by/ caught in hazards when they performed site sewer maintenance work.
