29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: a) Laboratory: Employees are required to disinfect cystoscope and other medical equipment, using hazardous chemicals, including, but not limited to, Aldahol and Sani Glut 3% Glutaraldehyde. The employer did not ensure that affected employees completed training on the health effects, safe use and handling of hazardous chemicals, prior to initial assignment, on or about 4/1/22.
