29 CFR 1910.95(k)(3)(ii): The employer did not ensure that each employee was informed of the purpose of hearing protectors, the advantages, disadvantages, and attenuation of various types, and instructions on selection, fitting, use and care: Workplace, 29 East Halsey Road, Parsippany, NJ a) An employee operating a Power Press was exposed to continuous noise levels of 129.4% of the Permissible Action Level Exposure Limit (8 hour Time Weighted Average sound level of 85 dBA.) The extended work shift Action Level for employees who work 9.5 hours is 85.76 dBA. The equivalent sound level of the measured dose is 91.85 dBA. Sampling was performed for 570 minutes on 3/29/22. This employee has been working in the Production Area since January 28, 2022. This employee was not informed of the purposes of hearing protectors, and the attenuation of the types of hearing protectors, or on use and care of the hearing protectors. Violation occurred on or around March 29, 2022
