The employer may discontinue an employee's medical evaluations when the employee is no longer required to use a respirator. At an establishment located at 100 East Highland Drive in Oconto Falls, Wisconsin; the employer did not provide medical evaluations to determine each employee's ability to use a respirator before requiring their use. The employer required employees to wear respirators while providing care to suspected and confirmed COVID-19 positive residents. Oconto Falls Nursing and Rehab LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1512957, citation number 1, item number 1-a, and was affirmed as a final order on August 16, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 100 East Highland Drive in Oconto Falls, Wisconsin.
