29 CFR 1910.1450(e)(1): Where hazardous chemicals were used in the workplace, the employer did not develop and carry out the provisions of a written Chemical Hygiene Plan which was capable of protecting employees from health hazards associated with hazardous chemicals: (a) On or about April 13, 2022, the employer failed to develop a written chemical hygiene plan consisting of specific procedures, training materials, a comprehensive chemical inventory, and how training is conducted for employees in the finish lab area, working with compounds such as "All Off," respirable dust, and tints/dye, which may present toxicity, flammability, and carcinogenic hazards to employees. (b) On or about April 13, 2022, the employer failed to develop a written chemical hygiene plan consisting of specific procedures, training materials, a comprehensive chemical inventory, and how training is conducted for employees in the AR lab area, working with compounds such as Glyceron, SEWAP 2 and SEWAP 3ER detergents, acetone, and isopropyl alcohol, which may present toxicity, flammability, and carcinogenic hazards to employees.
