29 CFR 1910.242(a):General requirements. Each employer shall be responsible for the safe condition of tools and equipment used by employees, including tools and equipment which may be furnished by employees. a) On or about April 19, 2022, at the site located at 1900 West Fernau Avenue, Oshkosh, WI 54901, the employer did not ensure that tools used by employees were in a safe condition. Two slings used by employees to tow equipment were observed to have defects, such but not limited to cuts, abrasion, and illegible tags.
