29 CFR 1910.94(a)(4)(i): The construction, installation, inspection, and maintenance of exhaust systems did not conform to the principles and requirements set forth in the American National Fundamentals Governing the Design and Operation of Local Exhaust Systems, Z9.2-1960, and ANSI Z33.1-1661, which is incorporated by reference as specified in CFR 1910.6: a) In the roasting room located at 707 South Main Street, Wrens, Georgia: on or about April 12, 2022, and at times prior to, the employer exposed employees to health and heat hazards, in that the Pitco Frialators were not equipped with exhaust systems in compliance with ANSI Z33.2-1661. b) In the secondary room located at 707 South Main Street, Wrens, Georgia: on or about September 16, 2022, and at times prior to, the employer exposed employees to health hazards, in the form of carbon monoxide, in that a burner was not equipped with exhaust systems in compliance with ANSI Z33.2-1661.
