29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1):The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards were present, or were likely to be present, which necessitated the use of personal protective equipment: (a) Hartman Brothers, Inc.: On or before 4/20/22 the employer did not evaluate the workplace for all hazards which necessitated controls including but not limited to personal protective equipment. Employee requalify acetylene cylinders and perform maintenance on cylinders such as shot blasting, spray painting, and sanding. Employees did not wearing flame-retardant clothing or gloves. This condition exposed employees to burn hazards. Abatement Note: Abatement Certification is required for this item. See enclosed "Certification of Corrective Actions Worksheet."

29 CFR 1910.307(c): Equipment, wiring methods, and installations of equipment in hazardous (classified) locations were not intrinsically safe, approved for the hazardous (classified) location, or safe for the hazardous (classified) location: (a) Hartman Brothers, Inc.: On or before 4/20/22 the employer did not ensure that electrical equipment was suitable for classified locations or that dust escaping the dust collector was controlled in a manner such that dust would not escape the shot blaster-dust collector system. This condition exposed employees to fire and explosion hazards. Abatement Note: Abatement Certification and documentation are required for this item. See enclosed "Certification of Corrective Actions Worksheet."
