Violation occurred on or about April 8 to April 15, 2022

29 CFR 1910.134(f)(2): Employee(s) using tight-fitting facepiece respirators were not fit tested prior to initial use of the respirator, whenever a different respirator facepiece (size, style, model or make) is used, and at least annually thereafter (Construction Reference 1926.103): a) Worksite, 100 Military Ocean Term St, Bayonne, NJ The employer did not provide initial fit tests to ensure the employee was optimally protected from toxicants when required to wear half mask and full face negative pressure elastomeric 3M respirators during spray painting new paint onto a ship exterior in a dry dock. The employees were exposed to toxicants including, but not limited to, amine based epoxy hardeners, and benzyl alcohol. Violation occurred on or about April 8 to April 15, 2022
