This condition exposed the employees to fall hazards greater than 15 feet.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: (a) One Day Roofing, LLC at 1408 12th Street South, Brookings, SD 57006: On or about and at times prior to April 25, 2022: the employer did not ensure that the Werner multi position aluminum ladder being utilized on site was extended at least three feet above the upper landing surface of the eave of the single-family residential roof. This condition exposed employees to fall hazards greater than ten feet.
