29 CFR  1926.1101(g)(2)(iv): In addition to the requirements of paragraph (g)(1) of this section, the employer shall use the following control methods to achieve compliance with the TWA permissible exposure limit and excursion limit prescribed by paragraph (c) of this section; Use of other work practices and engineering controls that the Assistant Secretary can show to be feasible:  a) On or about April 25, 2022, at an establishment located at 522 N 9th Street, Sheboygan, Wisconsin, the protective sealant coating for the asbestos-containing 2 foot by 1 foot asphalt floor tiles in the Distribution Center has been removed by cart traffic and other production activities in many locations.  b) On or about April 25, 2022, at an establishment located at 522 N 9th Street, Sheboygan, Wisconsin, a section of asbestos containing floor tile between the Registry Cage and Window and at the doorway edge, in the Distribution Center, was cracked into several pieces and not protected from additional damage.  Appropriate work practices and engineering controls include, but are not limited to, the following: 1) Properly clean the asbestos containing floor tile in the Distribution Center and apply an appropriate protective sealant. 2) Repair the floor tile section with an appropriate adhesive to protect the cracked floor tile section.  The U.S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.1101(g)(2)(iv), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1353897, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on February 28, 2019 , with respect to a workplace located at 300 Packerland Drive, Green Bay, Wisconsin.
