29 CFR 1926.403(b)(1): Employer did not ensure that electrical equipment is free from recognized hazards that are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a) New townhome construction located on Lots 47-51 Boxcar Way, Smyrna, GA 30080, Front side of townhome unit #49: On or about 04/25/2022, the employer failed to inspect all electrical cords used to power the 7-1/4-inch Makita (Model 5007F) Circular Saw used to cut trim boards, in that an inspection of the electrical cords and electrical equipment was not conducted prior to use as the cord powering the tool had a damaged strain relief and was not repaired or removed from service before the start of the shift.
