29 CFR  1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed:  a) Raul Lopez Framing, LLC located at 2463 Merrick Crossing Drive Columbus, OH 43219:  On an preceding May 2, 2022, the employer did not ensure that an extension ladder used for access to the second floor of a multi-story residential building had the side rails extending at least 3 feet beyond the upper landing nor was the ladders secured the top with a grasping device provided. The following condition exposed employees to falls up to 18 feet.

Raul Lopez Framing, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR  1926.20(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1300890, citation number 1, item number 1/a and was affirmed as a final order on April 11, 2018 with respect to a workplace located at 525 West Chapel Street, COLUMBUS, OH 43215.

29 CFR  1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.   a) Raul Lopez Framing, LLC located at 2463 Merrick Crossing Drive Columbus, OH 43219:  On an preceding May 2, 2022,  the employer did not ensure that framers installing decking and other framing pieces using pneumatic nail guns wore appropriate eye protection thereby exposing them to struck-by hazards to the eyes.  Raul Lopez Framing, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR  1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1300890, citation number 1, item number 1/b and was affirmed as a final order on April 11, 2018 with respect to a workplace located at 525 West Chapel Street, COLUMBUS, OH 43215.

29 CFR  1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):    a) Raul Lopez Framing, LLC located at 2463 Merrick Crossing Drive Columbus, OH 43219:  On an preceding May 2, 2022, the employer did not ensure that employees engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower level were protected from falls. Framers were installing framing pieces throughout a new construction multi-story residential building at heights that varied between 19 feet. The employees were not utilizing any form of fall protection which exposed them to falls up to 19 feet.  Raul Lopez Framing, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR  1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1300890, citation number 1, item number 1/a and was affirmed as a final order on April 11, 2018 with respect to a workplace located at 525 West Chapel Street, COLUMBUS, OH 43215.
