The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards.  On or about May 3rd, 2022, employer failed to ensure that ten employees exposed to fall a hazard were properly trained. The employees were re-roofing a commercial low sloped roof at a height greater than fourteen feet above lower level.

29 CFR  1926.501(b)(10):"Roofing work on Low-slope roofs." Except as otherwise provided in paragraph (b) of this section, each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs, with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system.  Location - 90 Eames Street, Framingham, MA.  On or about May 3rd, 2022, ten employees were exposed to fall hazards greater than fourteen feet without fall protection. The employees were re-roofing a commercial low sloped roof at a height greater than fourteen feet above lower level. The employees (including manger) were working on all areas of the roof the edges.     Brothers Construction and Roofing was previously cited for a violation of the equivalent occupational safety and health standard, 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1535131, citation number (1), item number (3) and was affirmed as a final order on August 9th, 2021, with respect to a residential worksite located at 1603 Main Street, Acton, MA 01712.
