29 CFR 1910.95(g)(5)(i): The employer did not establish, within 6 months of an employee's first exposure at or above the action level, a valid baseline audiogram against which subsequent audiograms can be compared: On or about May 6, 2022, and at times prior to, employees who were exposed to an 8-hour TWA of 85 dB threshold had not been administered a baseline audiogram: (a) An operator working in the Cants Shed by the Baker Edger Saw was exposed to continuous noise levels at 80.7% of the permissible 8-hour time weighted average (TWA). The equivalent decibel (dBA) level of 80.7% is approximately 88.5dBA. Sampling was performed for 480 minutes during one shift. Zero exposure was assumed for the 0 minutes not sampled. (b) An operator working in the Scrag Shed by the 5 Head Resaw was exposed to continuous noise levels at 111% of the permissible 8-hour time weighted average (TWA). The equivalent decibel (dBA) level of 111% is approximately 90.8 dBA. Sampling was performed for 480 minutes during one shift. Zero exposure was assumed for the 0 minutes not sampled.
