OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to:  The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to chemical hazards. a) On or about 05/05/22, in the maintenance/breakroom building located at 131 N Ash, Hillsboro, KS: The employer stored hazardous chemicals including but not limited to Aluminum Phosphide tablets (PH3), Shredder E-99 herbicide, Power Blast Windshield Washer fluid, Cenex Transmission fluid, and Cenex Hydraulic fluid without facilities for quick drenching of the eyes within the work area for immediate emergency use in case of splashed chemical onto the eyes. Among other feasible and acceptable means of abatement: To abate these hazards comply with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Standard Z358.1- 2014 Emergency Eyewash and Shower Equipment, as follows: a) Install eyewash facilities that shall be capable of delivering flushing fluid to the eyes not less than 1.5 liters per minute (0.4 gpm) for 15 minutes and will comply with the American National Standards Institute, ANSI Standard Z358.1-2014 - Eyewash Equipment, Section(s) 5.
