29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1):29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that all places of employment, passageways, storerooms, service rooms, and walking-working surfaces are kept in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition. (a) At a worksite located at 1500 Iron Street, Kansas City, MO: Employees were exposed to fire and explosion hazards. The employer failed to provide surfaces that are free of hazards such as accumulation of wood dust. Dust was observed in the area of the residential side of production on the window ledges and included, but not limited to, a depth of one and a half inches of wood dust, a combustible dust, on elevated structures and surfaces.

29 CFR 1910.22(a)(2):29 CFR 1910.22(a)(2): The employer did not ensure that the floor of each workroom is maintained in a clean and, to the extent feasible, in a dry condition. The employer did not ensure that when wet processes are used, drainage is be maintained and, to the extent feasible, dry standing places, such as false floors, platforms, and mats are provided. At a worksite located at 1500 Iron Street, Kansas City, MO: Employees were exposed to fire and explosion hazards. The employer failed to provide surfaces that are free of hazards such as accumulation of wood dust. (a) Dust was observed in the area of the commercial side of production on the floor near the CNC machine and included, but not limited to, a depth of three and a half inches of wood dust, a combustible dust, on the floor. (b) Dust was observed in the area of the dust collector room on the floor near the dust collector and included, but not limited to, a depth of eight inches of wood dust, a combustible dust, on the floor.

29 CFR 1910.242(b):Compressed air used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 p.s.i.: (a) At a worksite located at 1500 Iron Street, Kansas City, MO: Employees were exposed to flying chips and dust hazards associated with cleaning with compressed air. A cabinet station in the residential side of production was found to have an air cleaning gun with no relief holes or other safety features that limit the air pressure to 30 psi or less. The reading of the nozzle when tested was 127.9 p.s.i..
