29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) On or about May 12, 2022, in the production floor, the Dayton drill press (#MPC-221) did not have a guard, exposing employees to hazards such as those created by point of operation and rotating parts. (b) On or about May 12, 2022, in the production floor, the Central Machinery drill press (#MPC-225) did not have a guard, exposing employees to hazards such as those created by point of operation and rotating parts. (c) On or about May 12, 2022, in the production floor, the Central Machinery drill press (#MPC-226) did not have a guard, exposing employees to hazards such as those created by point of operation and rotating parts. (d)On or about May 12, 2022, in the production floor, the Clausing drill press (#MPC-219) did not have a guard, exposing employees to hazards such as those created by point of operation and rotating parts. (e)On or about May 12, 2022, in the production floor, the MSC milling machine (#MPC-153) did not have a guard, exposing employees to hazards such as those created by point of operation and rotating parts.
