29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation: At a facility located at 808 Packerland Drive, Green Bay, WI 54303; the employer did not ensure each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye hazards from caustic liquids. Kettle Operator employees conducting degreasing and cleaning work in the Bone Room sprayed the caustic chemical Chlor Foam-HD onto floor and table surfaces without wearing any eye or face protection. The employer's PPE Hazard Assessment identified face shield use during such operations for the hazards of chemical splashes.
