29 CFR 1910.1053(f)(1): The employer did not use engineering and work practice controls to reduce and maintain employee exposure to respirable crystalline silica to or below the PEL, unless the employer can demonstrate that such controls are not feasible: The employer is failing to protect employees from respiratory hazards related to exposure to respirable crystalline silica in the following instances: a) SHAKER: On or about May 19, 2022, an employee was exposed to respiratory hazards. The employee working at the shaker area was exposed to respirable crystalline silica at 255.832 �g/m� in an 8-hour TWA. The employee was operating the shaker. b) Molder: On or about May 19, 2022, an employee was exposed to respiratory hazards. the employee at the molding area was exposed to respirable crystalline silica at 83.38 �g/m� in an 8-hour TWA. The employee was pouring sand and working to make molds for pour.
