29 CFR 1926.1060(a): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee using ladders and stairways, as necessary, which would enable each employee to recognize hazards related to ladders and stairways and train each employee in the procedures to be followed to minimize these hazards. (a) Worksite - 24 Spring Hollow Road, Saint James, NY - Employees were not aware of the safe way to use a ladder. The extension ladder being used was positioned on a uneven surface; the point of access to the ladder was higher than the point where it was leaning against the retaining wall. on or about May 24, 2022, Note: The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.

The ladder was set up on a sloped ground on or about May 24, 2022. Note: The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.
