29 CFR 1904.8(a):  Employees who were exposed to a work-related needlestick injury had their names entered on the OSHA 300 Log:   a) At the worksite, Allegheny General Hospital located at 320 East North Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212, on or about August 15, 2022 - The employer did not correctly record a calendar year 2022 OSHA 300 Log injury for a workplace injury (case #102 7/25/22) when a Registered Nurse was pricked with a used 31G insulin syringe before engaging the safety mechanism and the injury was not recorded as a privacy case.  There were numerous additional calendar year 2021 and 2022 cases with this same deficiency.   b) At the worksite, Allegheny General Hospital located at 320 East North Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212, on or about August 15, 2022 - The employer did not correctly record a calendar year 2022 OSHA 300 Log injury for a workplace injury (case #103 7/25/22) when a Resident punctured their finger with the end of the scalpel while grossing a mastectomy specimen and the injury was not recorded as a privacy case.  There were numerous additional calendar year 2021 and 2022 cases with this same deficiency.
