OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):  The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees:  On or about June 1, 2022, at this establishment, employees were exposed to struck-by injuries from flying shards of polyvinyl chloride piping which was used to transport compressed air.

29 CFR  1910.305(b)(1)(ii):  Unused openings in boxes, cabinets, or fittings were not effectively closed:  At this establishment, electrical panels had unused openings in the following instances:  a.  adjacent to the Landa pressure washer, the Siemens Series B, Type 1 electrical panel, was missing a breaker blank; and, b.  adjacent the tear down area, the electrical panel was missing breaker blanks and knockouts.

29 CFR  1910.134(e)(1):  The employer did not provide a medical evaluation to determine the employee's ability to use a respirator, before the employee was fit tested or required to use the respirator in the workplace:  On or about June 1, 2022, at this establishment, an employee was required to wear an elastomeric, half-face, negative-pressure, tight-fitting respirator.  The employer did not ensure the employee underwent a medical evaluation within one year of the last medical evaluation.  RTT Automotive Corp. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.134(e)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1365510, citation number 1, item number b and was affirmed as a final order on April 15, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 609 Amistad Drive, Laredo, Texas 78041.
