29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  (a)MercyOne Dakota Dunes Laboratories at  101 Tower Road, Dakota Dunes, SD 57049: On or about and at times prior to June 7, 2022, the employer did not ensure employees operating the Marmed Inc. Bone Saw (Trinity Health Inventory ID SC0015405) within the grossing room were protected from cut and amputation hazards, in that the unused portion of the blade was not appropriately guarded to prevent employee contact. This condition exposed employees to cut and amputation hazards.

This condition exposed employee to potential hazards associated with Bloodborne Pathogens.
