The employer does not ensure the passageways in the stock room and general condition of the stock room are kept in an orderly condition. On June 8, 2022, at 4840 W. 211th St., Matteson, IL 60443, employees were exposed to slip, trip, fall, and fire hazards within the storeroom from wheeled carts, large boxes, and  merchandise throughout the walking-working surface.   The Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1438186, citation number 2, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on April 16, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 4428 North Fwy. Houston, TX 77022. This occurred on June 8, 2022, at 4840 W. 211th St., Matteson, IL 60443, employees are exposed to injuries in the event of an emergency from boxes, merchandise, and product carts (U-boats) that are blocking egress routes. The freight, offloaded from a semi-trailer and brought into the store room, is arranged in a manner that is unstable and not secure. On June 8, 2022, at 4840 W. 211th St., Matteson, IL 60443, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards from unsecure freight that was not stable and stacked at heights exceeding seventy-two (72) inches.
