29 CFR 1910.213(c)(1): Circular handfed ripsaw(s) were not guarded by an automatically adjusting hood which completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and above the material being cut: Building 25390, Wood Shop: The 10 inch Delta (Unisaw #14C000071) table saw used for ripping purposes, was not provided with a blade guard that adjust to the thickness of the materials being cut and remain in contact with it. Employees were exposed to amputation related injuries.

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords and cables were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief was provided that would prevent pull from being directly transmitted to the joints or terminal screws: Building 25390, Welding Shop: The DEWALT (DW 402, SER 941204) right angle hand grinder power supply cord lacked strain relief from both ends. The power supply cord was missing approximately half an inch of its outer sheathing on its plug end exposing the inner conductors to physical damage. Employees were exposed to electrical hazards.

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: Building 25390, Welding Shop: The BAILEIGH horizontal saw (Serial Number 17A01017) was not provided with a guard to protect the unused portion of the saw. Employees were exposed to amputation related injuries. The U.S. AIR FORCE - BEALE AFB, Civil Engineering Squadron was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1232826, citation number 02, item number 01 and was affirmed as a final order on 08/31/2017, with respect to a workplace located at 17851 16th Street, Beale AFB, CA 95903
