29 CFR 1910.213(r)(4): Suitable guard(s) were not provided to reduce to a minimum the hazard due to the point of operation of an electronic glue machine: (a) Electronic Department; At approximately 8:00 a.m., on or about May 31, 2022, an electronic department employee suffered an amputation injury while removing a press block from an inadequately guarded Rosenquist, Inc. electronic glue machine, model #50KWGEN, serial #206RB131251-50K. The employee's thumb was caught between the press block and the metal guiderail when a chain driven ram was activated and pushed the next set of door stiles on the glue machine line forward.
