29 CFR 1926.303(b)(1): Grinding machines were not equipped with safety guards in conformance with the requirements of ANSI B7.1-1970, Safety Code for the Use, Care, and Protection of abrasive wheels, and paragraph (d) of this section. Front of Bathroom: The grinder use to cut cement blocks was missing the guard, exposing employees to struck-by hazards.

29 CFR 1926.403(b)(1)(iii): Examination. The employer shall ensure that electrical equipment is free from recognized hazards that are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees. Safety of equipment shall be determined on the basis of the following considerations: Electrical insulation. In front of the bathroom: The outer insulation on the grinder power cable used to cut cement blocks was torn exposing employees to electrical and fire hazards.
