29 CFR 1926.501(b)(7)(ii): Each employee at the edge of a well, pit, shaft, and similar excavation 6 feet (1.8 m) or more in depth shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems, fences, barricades, or covers: At a worksite located at 1251 Mill Road, Green Leaf, WI 54126; the employer did not protect each employee from falling into a sump pit (crock), located adjacent to the pump pit, by a guardrail system, fence, barricade, or cover. Part of the concrete wall of the crock was 32.5 inches above the ground level and exposed employees to falls of 24 feet into the pit.
