29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):   a)  On or about June 27, 2022, employees were exposed to fall hazards while working without fall protection from the main house with an 8/12 pitch, that had two different roof heights. The first story roof (over the front porch) had a ground to eave height of approximately 11 feet. The second story roof of the main house had a ground to eave height of approximately 20 feet.   b) On or about June 27, 2022, employees were exposed to fall hazards while working without fall protection from the breezeway roof that had a ground to eave height of approximately 9 feet.  c) On or about June 27, 2022, employees were exposed to fall hazards while working without fall protection from the garage roof had a ground to eave height of approximately 9.5 feet and 8/12 pitch.  J and T Construction Services Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1423042, citation number 1, item number 3, and was affirmed as a final order on December 10, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 10319 Linder Ave, Oak Lawn, IL 60453.  No abatement certification or documentation required for this violation.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1):  Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access:  a)  On or about June 27, 2022, employees were using a portable extension ladder which did not extend 3 feet above the upper landing being accessed.     No abatement certification or documentation required for this violation.
