29 CFR 1910.212(a)(2): General requirements for machine guards. Guards were not affixed to the machine where possible or secured elsewhere if for any reason attachment to the machine was not possible: On or about June 27, 2022, the point of operation guarding (a light curtain) was turned off and, as a result, the machine operators were not prevented from having any part of their body in the danger zone of the point of operation on the Cincinnati 175 ton break press when working together forming panels.
