29 CFR 1910.147(c)(1):The employer did not establish a program consisting of an energy control procedure, employee training and periodic inspections to ensure that before any employee performed any servicing or maintenance on a machine or equipment where the unexpected energizing, startup or release of stored energy could occur and cause injury, the machine or equipment shall be isolated from the energy source and rendered inoperative. a) Schill Landscaping and Lawncare Services LLC on or about July 1, 2022, at the address of 5000 Mills Ind Parkway, North Ridgeville, OH: The employer failed to ensure an energy control program consisting of control procedures, employee training and periodic inspections were developed and performed. An employee performing cleaning duties in the Mulch Mule without the benefit of energy isolation, hazardous energy recognition training and employer evaluation, exposed the employee to amputation and puncture hazards created by the machines rotating tines.
