Where mechanical handling equipment is used, sufficient safe clearances shall be allowed for aisles, at loading docks, through doorways and wherever turns or passage must be made. Aisles and passageways shall be kept clear and in good repair, with no obstruction across or in aisles that could create a hazard. Permanent aisles and passageways shall be appropriately marked.  a. On or about July 7,2022, and at times prior, throughout the Warehouse area, employees operated forklifts to move materials in aisles/passageways that were not kept clear without obstructions nor were aisles/passageways permanently marked. The following condition exposed employees to struck-by hazards.  NFI Industries was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1277160, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on January 9, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 25 Rix Mills Road, New Concord, OH 43762.
