29 CFR 1910.30(a)(1): Fall hazards. Before any employee is exposed to a fall hazard, the employer must provide training for each employee who uses personal fall protection systems or who is required to be trained as specified elsewhere in this subpart. Employers must ensure employees are trained in the requirements of this paragraph on or before May 17, 2017. a.) On or about June 29, 2022, the employer did not ensure that employees accessing the mobile ladder stand were adequately trained to only reach within the confines of the mobile ladder stand in that employees conducting inventory at a height approximately 9' from the ground in the upholstery department were reaching beyond the 2nd shelf to the 3rd shelf of the storage racks from the mobile ladder stand.
