The employer failed to provide employees with a medical evaluation prior to initial use of their respirator. 29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(8): The employer did not maintain in the workplace copies of the required safety data sheets for each hazardous chemical, and did not ensure that they were readily accessible during each work shift to employees when they were in their work area(s) (Construction Reference: 1926.59) (a) On or about 07/11/2022 at 123 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10006 employees stick welding structural steel on the 6th and 7th floors were exposed to hazardous chemicals. These chemicals included but were not limited to Iron oxide generated from the Innershield NR-233 welding electrode during welding. The employer failed to provide these employees with safety data sheets for the filler metals used in welding.
