29 CFR 1926.304(i)(1): Each circular had-fed ripsaw was not guarded by a hood which completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and that portion of the saw above the material being cut: location: 1st floor on or about: 2/1/22 a) An employee was using a DeWalt table saw while engaged in carpentry work. The saw did not have a guard covering the blade above the table. NOTE: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the inspection casefile, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.404(b)(1)(i): General. The employer did not use either ground fault circuit interrupters as specified in paragraph (b)(1)(ii) of this section or an assured equipment grounding conductor program as specified in paragraph (b)(1)(iii) of this section to protect employees on construction sites. These requirements are in addition to any other requirements for equipment grounding conductors: location: 1st floor on or about: 2/1/22 a) Employees were using electrical equipment, including a Skilsaw circular saw and a DeWalt table saw, while engaged in carpentry work. The employees were not using GFCI protection nor an assured equipment grounding conductor program. NOTE: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the inspection casefile, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.

The power cord of the saw was spliced to the receptacle of an extension cord and covered with painter's tape. NOTE: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the inspection casefile, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.
