29 CFR  1926.1053(a)(7): Ladders not specifically designed for such use were tied or fastened together to provide longer sections:   New townhome construction located on Lots 21-27 Briscoe Way, Alpharetta, GA 30009, Rear side of townhomes: On or about 07/12/2022, the employer exposed employees to collapse/fall hazards of up to 39-feet to the lower ground level, in that a ladder was made longer by using rope to extend and secure the 40-ft. Aluminum Ladder as the rung lock mechanism was not engaged. The ladder was not used as intended, in that the ladder was modified to make the extension of the ladder greater than 37-ft. which is the maximum reach of the extension ladder used.
