As referred to by 29 CFR 1926.1153(i)(1): 29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (Construction Reference: 1926.59) Location: a) Throughout worksite; multiple floors a) On or about 07/13/2022, employees of Uprise Improvements, Inc./JMG Improvements Inc./CMG Interiors Inc., were mixing/handling ParexUSA/Lahabra Perma-Finish on site and were exposed to hazardous chemicals including, but not limited to, crystalline silica. Employees did not recognize silica exposure and health hazards to determine the use of personal protective equipment such as respirators.
