29 CFR  1926.453(b)(2)(v): A body belt was not worn and/or a lanyard was not attached to the boom or basket when working from an aerial lift: Note:  As of January 1, 1998, subpart M of this part (1926.502(d)) provides that body belts are not acceptable as part of a personal fall arrest system.    a) 356 West Lake Ave., Bay Head, NJ: , Two J & D Cedar & Coppersmiths employees were working in the basket of a SkyJack SJ66T telescopic articulating boom lift. Neither employee had a harness on and they were not anchored to the lift via tie off point exposing them to potential fall hazards. Conditions noted on or about July 13, 2022  NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
