Violation was observed on or about June 9, 2022.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(16):Portable ladders with structural defects, such as, but not limited to, broken or missing rungs, cleats, or steps, broken or split rails, corroded components, or other faulty or defective components, were not either immediately marked in a manner that readily identifies them as defective, or tagged with "Do Not Use" or similar language, and were not withdrawn from service until repaired: a) Worksite was located at 15 Atlantic Avenue, Long Branch, NJ 07740 Workers were exposed to fall hazards of two stories to ground as they used a ladder that had broken locks, missing cleats and damaged rungs to access and egress the working level of the pump jack scaffold they were working from to hang the insulating paper on the east wall of the building. Violation was observed on or about June 9, 2022.
