A) 1030 St Georges Ave Avenel, NJ 07001  At the time of the inspection the tubular welded scaffold that was erected to perform masonry on a exterior building sign, was not erected using base plates and or mud sills. 29 CFR  1926.1153(c)(1):For each employee engaged in a task identified on Table 1, the employer did not fully and properly implement the engineering controls, work practices, and respiratory protection specified for the task on Table 1:  A) 1030 St Georges Ave Avenel, NJ 07001 Front of building  The employer failed to fully and properly implement the engineering controls, work practices, and respiratory protection for employees exposed to respirable crystalline silica during the cutting on masonry brick. Employee was using a 6-inch handheld grinder, without water suppression or a dust collection system. The exposure control methods implemented by employer were not effective as no water suppression  or  dust collection system was being utilized.  Condition observed on or about 07/20/22
