The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. a. Employees did not know the requirements for fall protection, thereby being exposed to fall hazards.

Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a. On or before July 20, 2022, at a worksite located at 358 Wells Court W, Lot 13652, Newark, Ohio 43055: the employer did not ensure employees were protected from falls while engaged in residential construction activities. Employees were installing trusses while exposed to fall hazards greater than 6 feet. Employees were not protected from falls by any means, thereby exposed to a 20-foot fall hazard.
