29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  (a) Location - 485 Groton Road, Westford, MA (Turning Area):  On or about July 21, 2022, the Nakamura TMC-18 was not effectively safeguarded to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards created by the machines point of operation and flying chips and sparks.  (b) Location - 485 Groton Road, Westford, MA (Milling Area):  On or about July 21, 2022, the Feeler HV-800 DM was not effectively safeguarded to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards created by the machines point of operation and flying chips and sparks.  (c) Location - 485 Groton Road, Westford, MA (Milling Area):  On or about July 21, 2022, two Fanuc Robodrill T21s were not effectively safeguarded to protect the operator and other employees in the machine areas from hazards created by the machines point of operation and flying chips and sparks.  (d) Location - 485 Groton Road, Westford, MA (Prototype Area):  On or about July 21, 2022, the Proto-Trak DMP2 was not safeguarded to protect the operator and other employees in the machine areas from hazards created by the machines point of operation and flying chips and sparks.

29 CFR  1910.215(a)(4): Work rest(s) on grinding machinery were not adjusted closely to the wheel with a maximum opening of one eighth inch:  (a) Location - 485 Groton Road, Westford, MA:  On or about July 21, 2022, the work rest on the right side of the Delta Model No. 23 - 880 8" bench grinder was greater than one eight inch from the wheel.  29 CFR  1910.215(a)(4): Grinding machinery was not used with work rest(s) to support offhand grinding work:  On or about July 21, 2022, the left side of the Delta Model No. 23 - 880 8" bench grinder did not have a work rest.
