29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Eye and face protective equipment were not used when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury from physical agents: a. 239-259 Cole St., Jersey City, NJ Employees were using hand tools such as, but not limited to a DEWALT D28715 Chop Saw and Hilti TE6-A22 rotating hammer drill, without wearing eye or face protection. The employees used hand tools to install aluminum frames at the construction site. Violation observed 7/22/2022

29 CFR 1926.452(w)(2): Scaffold casters and wheels were not locked with positive wheel and/or wheel and swivel locks, or equivalent means, to prevent movement of the scaffold while the scaffold was used in a stationary manner: a. 239-259 Cole St., Jersey City, NJ The employer did not ensure scaffold wheels were locked to prevent scaffold movement. Employees worked from a height of approximately 7 ft. on a yellow mobile scaffold and failed to lock the wheels in place to prevent movement while engaged in framing activities. Violation observed 07/22/2022
