1926.21(b)(2)The employer shall instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to his work environment to control or eliminate any hazards or other exposure to illness or injury. On or about July 26, 2022, during the installation of roofing material for the remolding of a commercial building located at 6800 SOM Center Rd, Solon, OH 44139, the employer did not ensure employees working from a low-sloped roof were protected from a fall of approximately 24.4 feet by the use of a guardrail system, safety net system, personal fall arrest system and/or combination warning line system and safety monitoring system.
