29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye protection when exposed to eye and face hazards from liquid chemicals. a.) Cannon Instrument Company - 2139 High Tech Rd. State College, PA 16803 - on or about July 27, 2022, employees were handling liquid chemicals and pouring chemicals to include acetone, heptane, methanol, and mineral spirits into glass bottles without wearing splash resistant protective eyewear. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(6): The employer has not ensured that containers of hazardous chemicals in the workplace are labeled, tagged or marked with at least general information regarding the hazards of the chemicals which will provide employees with specific information regarding the health hazards of the hazardous chemicals. a) Cannon Instrument Company - 2139 High Tech Rd. State College, PA 16803 - On or about July 27, 2022, employees were storing chemicals in unlabeled secondary containers which did not provide the employee with information regarding the physical and health hazards of the hazardous chemical. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
