29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that all places of employment, passageways, storerooms, service rooms, and walking-working surfaces are kept in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition. a) Back Room: On July 26, 2022, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to trip hazards in that the floors of the warehouse at the back of the facility were not kept clear of debris from freight and packaging as employees store and retrieve stock in the area.

29 CFR 1910.37(b)(4):Signs were not posted along the exit access indicating the direction of travel to the nearest exit and exit discharge when the direction of travel to the exit or exit discharge was not immediately apparent: a) Back Room: On July 26, 2022, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to fire and respiratory hazards, in that there were no signs posted along the exit access to indicate the direction of travel to the exits. The exits are obscured by stored freight and industrial shelving units as employees store and retrieve stock in the area.
