29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11):"Steep roofs." Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On or about July 29, 2022, with respect to a worksite located at 1305 Oneida St, Menasha, WI 54952, employees were exposed to falls of over seventeen feet when the employer did not ensure that employees were provided with, and utilized, fall protection while working on a steep pitch commercial roof.
